Na'vi Costuming subforum

I'm sure there are hundreds maybe thousands of fans out there dying to dress up like a Na'vi. It would be great to have a subforum where people can share tips and ideas on how to properly make oneself look like a Na'vi.

Yo, MisterKinish. I don't see why you're requesting a forum based on Na'vi costumes, it doesn't seem like a big requirement. To be honest I feel it is just a waste. What I would recommened is that you create a thread in the Na’Vi Culture & Language forum, it would be more efficient.

I just feel it's different enough of a subject to be separate from the culture and language forum. Despite your view that it isn't a big requirement, costuming is actually pretty involved. Creating accessories, movie props, makeup tips, colored contact lenses, sources for wigs, braiding techniques, etc. We could have a photo thread where everyone posts pics of themselves. It will be a great place to look for information for fans attending conventions, and probably become very popular before Halloween this year.

I still don't feel convinced. A forum based on costumes wouldn't work out. The forum would be seperate from all the others. It's not such a big deal anyway. If you put enough enthusiasm and effort into a thread, I'm sure that it would work out just fine for you. It's not too important at the moment anyway.

Hmm... well, costuming forums exist for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. The Rebel Legion is for Rebel and Jedi costumers: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/index.php The 501st is mainly for Stormtroopers and Darth Vader costumers: http://www.501stforums.com/forum/index.php There's even a forum dedicated just to Boba Fett costumers: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/forums/forum.php So I'm not sure why a Na'vi subforum would be so insignificant, since this is possibly the biggest sci-fi film of all time. You make it sound like it has no place at all on the board, which I find kind of odd. Would it be such a hassle to create it, see if it takes off and keep it, or flops and delete it? Where's the harm in that?

But fair enough. I'll start a thread and see how it goes.
