Logging in problems

I was wondering if anybody could help in regards to the problems I've had logging in to the forum since the last upgrade.
When I type my name in and then my password, usually dots or asterixs appear as I type the password but for some reason these dots haven't been appearing and when I click the log in tab, it then says I have an invalid name or password.

The last two weeks of every month my download speed is slowed because of the plan I'm on, and I was wondering whether this had anything to do with it, but it has never been a problem before during the last eight months.
Yesterday it took me many attempts over a seven hour period to log in and then today it took me many attempts again over a four hour period. Today I just let the site sit idle for an hour before logging in and it worked. I was wondering if this is happening to anybody else since the new upgrade that happened yesterday.
If anyone has any advice in this matter it would be greatly appreciated as I don't wish to be continualy be blocked out from the forum, thanks in advance.

BTW I have a current virus protection as well as a spyware updates.

I also periodically while I'm logged on, have notices pop up saying that windows explorer has problems with this web page and then it closes the site on about the fifth message.
It seems strange as I have not changed anything at my end, it has only been happening since the upgrade after 22-23 September.

i get the error messages as well. before i couldnt view the site for more than a few seconds before getting kicked off. I upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 and things are much better, but i still get error messages. I think its something to do with all the features of the website (it uses all sorts of scripts n stuff) and your computer doesnt like them. upgrade to internet explorer 8 (its downloadable for free :D) and see how that goes

Thank-you guys for putting in the try again log-in box that now appears on the page when you fail the first log in attempt. I have been unable to log-in from the first page, but now am able to log in again.
Thank-you.

Also I quite like the blue borders that appear on the site now, sorta makes up for the loss of the stylechooser.
