While looking through the list of RDA's vechiles on pandora I noticed one vechile whichs its omission is staggering; the pickup truck.

While the sampson helicopter could pull freight duty, it seems stupid to use a helicopter to shift a few crates of food and ammo down the road. At least they could be used to move troops around Hells Gate, I don't think a defense plan which requires the wall reinforcements to jog half a mile before they to the wall their defending is going to work.

Probably the best candidate would be one of them ones with the rotating gun turret on the back but with the gun turret assembly removed

Yes the Swan is probadly the closed thing RDA would have around. Though I would extend the rear to allow greater load capacity or just have the vechile tow around a seperate semi-trailer style. Then again the Swan could just be civillian vechlie with an built cherry picker with a gun slapped on.

I watched part of the film again today, at Hells Gate they had some "airport" type vehicles (probably battery powered) which they were using to transport stuff around. Hell's Gate - James Cameron's Avatar Wiki - Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana

huh, hadn't noticed them, though when you think about it why do they have towing vechicles when the only wheeled aircraft they have has VTOL capacity? only other think could be for hauling the helicopeters in and out of the garage, but they aren't wheeled. Their the wronge design for towing cargo containers (unless their another case of doubling up but thier weighted design would make them too unweildly)

But anyway I was really talking about utlity trucks for operation outside the base.

Avatar the game showed a few vehicles that were not in the movie, such as a cool little buggie. I think there's not many trucks or jeeps because of the landscape of pandora (where they are) is rough and a truck would easily get stuck unless it's paved and smooth.
