Selfridge, actually a good guy?

I think that he is in turmoil. his own private form of hell. He is very smart. He knows that times are changing, and that several things are impacting his (formerly) smoothly-running life.

1. He is aging, and is fighting to remain in control of his life.
2. As the years have passed, and he has had more and more association with the scientist-types, his straight-as-an-arrow perspective of the proper "order" of things has developed a small warp.
3. Whenever an arrow has an imperfection, like a small warp, the arrow will no longer fly "true" and straight. I changes it's path in an ever-widening angle.
4. He is fighting to stay true to his old ways, and a lot of his anger is his way of lashing back at his feelings.
5. He knows that he has to win, or what he fears is true - that his kind are obsolete.
6. His perspective had always been "Black or White", now shades of "Grey" have worked their way in, and he is confused.
7. He is a formidable enemy, and with some deprogramming, he would be a remarkable asset.

Yeah, especially thanks to that deleted scene called 'we're a long way from Earth' or something, you get to see Selfridge forreal. In my opinion, he was good once, but was doomed by society, and ended up being the bad boss... He's got spots of goodness here and there, but he's led by power and pride in Avatar, his tongue says what he doesn't really think... You can tell by his face expression when he says some things... So to me, he's a bad guy at the end of it all, but not like heartless Quaritch definitely, Selfridge had a chance to show he's actually good deep down, but he blew it.
