And now for something completely different.

I remembered reading an article in a magazine one about a british ww2 weapons project called 'Canal Defence Light' which used multiple search lights to dazzle enemy troops during night fighting, a bit like a strobe light today, it was said to result in temporay blindness as the eye is unable to ajust to the change between light and darkness. Now imagine how useful such a weapon would be on Pandora. You have a group of Na'vi in the bio-darkness, then suddunly to you switch on the light, disabliting them while you ground units finish them off. When the larger size of Na'vi eyes compared to humans then the effects amy be even worse.
