How do the avatar works within the Flux Vortex when all other electronics fail. Since the connection between the human and avatar is wireless, there must be some kind of chip inserted.

An explanation i found on a website
After switching sides, Jake and his crew escape into an area with heavy magnetic distortions so that they can not be detected. This area is also safe from cruise missiles due to the interferences. However, Jake has no problems using the portal to get into his Avatar. [The cruise missiles are susceptible to interference from magnetic distortions. Jake communicates with his Avatar through a neural link, obviously a technology that does not have the same limitations as the missiles.]

The thing is it only interferes to a certain degree, it doesnt disable technology alltogheter. When the mercenarys and the AMP suits were going thru the jungle they saw something incoming on their screens (when eywa sent the hammerheads), just not precisely enough.
And what about when Jakes in human form and his avatar is asleep. I'm pretty sure Neytiri has waken up earlier than Jake many times, so then he have just lied there lifeless? would some kind of suspestion arise?
Yea. Because you needed same sort of DNA to one avatar. That's just why they had to use Jake after Toms(Jakes brother)death. So that may mean some kind of neural link, which the vortex cannot interfere with.
The humans build them a school to teach them english and you can see Grace there in her avatar body so i believe the natives allready knew how the avatars work .And they didn't ask any questions when they brought Grace to heal herOriginally Posted by Dude

They do call them dreamwalkers for a reason. I think they know what an Avatar is but are still confused by how it works to some extent, like I don't know if Neytiri knew Jake actually couldn't hear her when she was screaming and pulling him.

Our guys call it the great leonopteryx.
I read in the script that they went to the Hallelujah Mountains as it was easier to link with the Avatars up there from where Jake was at, at the time.
it could also be that because the avatars are na'vi with human DNA that Eywa helps them connect... i mean, she is just a giant brain after all. no disrespect intended.
