I find this thread interesting because from what I know, Cameron is a fan of engineering. His father was an engineer, and that's where he got the idea for unobtainium from. It would be interesting if there was the tech to make an actual Scorpion heli, but seeing that some of the technology hasn't been perfected yet, I would say it would take some time and development to conceivce some of the issues faced with this kind of machine (namely the unconventional roter blade design for the heli).

I agree, I'm sure they could make one... I haven't lived all that long, but with the experience I've gained, I learnt that whenever I think of something really cool and amazing, and then I say 'nah that's impossible', MOST of the times somewhere in the world it had actually been invented. Two examples in my opinion, are the car that runs on air (thanks to transcend) and the astonishing OLED technology, basically the see-through monitors you see at hell's gate in Avatar. And many other examples too that I can't remember just now but there are loads. So I'm sure they could re-create a working Scorpion, just like it, but it would be a rare prototypeWould be awesome to see one in function ^_^

What do you mean?did you expierencde the same?I experienced the fact that things that may seem impossible maybe are more likely to be real, sometimes, if that's your question ^_^
For example, my father always tells me like, 'Heck, when I was 10 years old I'd have never believed you could have a video chat with someone 5000 miles away across the planet', just an example, and I'd have never thought you could have transparent monitors, but you can :O
