The saddest thing I notice is that I can't really get into the movie anymore. I find the movie harder to enjoy as much as I did a couple years ago.

I hear you on that. The last time I took a trip to Pandora was probably four or five months ago, at least. I expect I'll get more excited about the movie when the sequel starts taking shape and there is more buzz about it and its release starts getting closer and closer. Until then, I am sort of in hibernation. I check this forum every day (or most every day) but I'm not really all that active here much anymore.

That will change in a couple years or so, I am sure.

on edit: I am responding to electrosphere's post two posts above mine.

Once they 100% confirm the date of the release we need a countdown clock thread!!!

This last weekend, I was up at my folks place visiting and Avatar was coming on the cable. My mom wanted to know a little about how they did the Na'vi and knowing I knew a thing or two about the movie, asked me explain the special affects. After getting all sickeningly nerdy with the description, we watched the movie. She said afterwards how much more she loved the acting now that the curtain had been removed and they were not just computer cartoons. She got so much out of it during this viewing. Just sharing the love, mom!

After my teaching, I was very attuned to the actors this time through. In the scene where Neytiri/Zoe finds her father after the fall of Hometree, her cry was the same as I had heard in the recent movie Colombiana. That cry is so gut wrenching. I really got into Tsu'tey this time around; his scene where he rides up after Jake's failure to ride is great. I love his expression after Jake tells him, "you'd miss me!"

Yes Ja'k, the sequels are not coming fast enough!

Ah... I kind of See You too Well Honestly, I Haven't seen in like so long seriously, this time for real, I have no idea when the last time was. Sometimes I Look at my 3 shiny boxes, dvd, CE DvD and Bluray CE, I feel all silly and Proud of my Avatar Collection Yet I never have the 'Courage' to slip those discs in anymore? I hope to do so some Summer Night and just Enjoy it. Kind of Miss the Feelings, I almost wish I would cry again watching it like I did so long ago, at least those tears made me feel alive and made Avatar such an astounding Experience...<3

That's Great man! My father is hopeless, but the day I got my mother to watch it all with me one night long time ago, it was so nice... And yeah me too, I started ranting on telling her everything I know about the Film and all the awesome extra contents that explain so much about how the film came to life
I Agree I love Tsu'tey's funny grin when Jake says that

Actually both of my Parents thought it was pretty good(kind of shocked Dad liked it as much as he did) although I don't think they know just how much I fell in love with it(and Ney).
One day I hope to see it in 3D, that would be so awesome.
