I remember watching the first scene in the movie, Last of the Mohicans where Daniel Day-Lewis and his fellow trappers run down a very fleet Buck. It was an all out sprint but one that was controlled, watching signs, listening and working as a team. This scene pretty much set the tone on how the characters moved through the forest throughout the movie. This is how I picture real hunting. Granted, Daniel had a long rifle, but if he had only a spear, he would have had to expend just a little more energy to close the deal. "We're sorry to kill you, brother. We do honor to your courage and speed, your strength." - Chingachgook. Don't think they would get worn down walking to the shop! ;-)
