(No offence to anyone who gets worn out walking to the shop or any other place of purveyance )
I remember watching the first scene in the movie, Last of the Mohicans where Daniel Day-Lewis and his fellow trappers run down a very fleet Buck. It was an all out sprint but one that was controlled, watching signs, listening and working as a team. This scene pretty much set the tone on how the characters moved through the forest throughout the movie. This is how I picture real hunting. Granted, Daniel had a long rifle, but if he had only a spear, he would have had to expend just a little more energy to close the deal. "We're sorry to kill you, brother. We do honor to your courage and speed, your strength." - Chingachgook. Don't think they would get worn down walking to the shop! ;-)

I may have said this before, but I'm really on "no one's side here".
Or maybe I am on BOTH sides... because whether someone's attacking meat-eaters, or if someone's attacking vegetarians, I still feel "hit".

But I declare that I just found the STUPIDEST (if that's even a word) argument I've ever heard in this debate.
    Eco-Village Intentional Community
    (It's somewhere in there.)
They say that "You can feed dogs and cats with vegan food, although it's not so good for cats because they are carnivores... BUT even a lion will be friends with a lamb if it gets the opportunity - lions don't really WANT to eat meat!"

But then there are also some saying "vegetarians kill even more animals, because of the toll agriculture takes on nature and wildlife".
True... agriculture kills LOTS of wildlife.
But (beware of preaching) 50% of all grain and as much as 95% (!!!) of all soybeans grown (of which many are from Brazil, where rainforests are cut down to grow food) become biofuels or food for the animals that end up on our plates.

So no, eating less meat and more vegetarian stuff doesn't kill more animals.

I have BTW bought meself some swedish horse meat now.
Something I could never have imagined doing a few years ago, but then, I ate chicken, pig and cow from slaughter houses without a second thought... at least the horses have had a better life and weren't raised for slaughter.

No problems with eating meat, No problems with animalls being killed. However I have problems with animals that have a life that you just can't call a life, and after that got killed.

Beside that, Trust me guys. Meat that is shot by yourself from the wild is so much better than store meat. Awesome meat and a deer that had a good life, No problems with that.

^ I agree, yea I have no problem with eating meat, but the treatment of the animals they use to feed us is an issue, they just had a story on one of the farms that supplies pork to Wal-mart, and it was very disturbing.
