OS used IN the movie!

I am looking for anyone that knows what operating system was used in the Movie on their computer monitors. I'm not talking about the 3d Holo screen they used or the Gigantic Panoramic Screens. I'm talking about the computer screens that they used for monitoring the video feeds, the ones used in the med bay, and the ones used in the video recording logs that they kept.

It looks like a light weight, simple OS that could be adapted to just about anything. I have a feeling that its a Linux OS but I want to be sure. I cant find anything on this anywhere.

Probably an open source based OS developed by the RDA specifically for the Pandora operation.

I am assuming that by this time, open source will be widely used because even companies would want something they are free to modify. (With corresponding open source of course).

What are you asking? In the story what is it or what we have now that is similar?

I'm pretty sure this kind of advanced operating system doesn't exists in our time but I do imagine it could be possible to create a similar looking one with linux. Whether or not someone has made an RDA themed OS I'm unsure but it sounds like a great idea to me.

I am interested to find out how the producers of Avatar brought this fully functional OS to life. It could be the result of clever SFX or they could've created an entire program. What ever it is I'd love to have it!
