Wow! I didn't know the difference between IMAX and normal 3D was so big. I am more excited than ever, and I've already seen Avatar twice, both times in 3D. Can't wait to see it in IMAX this coming Monday.

I've only seen it in 2D 35mm film projection. That's all we have in this town. And the theater's projector is even just a tad out of focus.

I'm really hoping that I get the chance to see it in IMAX ... but I don't think I will.

The highest quality I'll get to see it on will probably be 2D BluRay.

And that this... this is our ban thread!

Yeah, I saw it in IMAX 3-D, then in regular 3-D. The IMAX was almost too much, being complete sensory overload with incredible immersion quality that I just didn't get in regular 3-D. Plus the 3-D version was blurry during alot of the action scenes so we missed some things.

unfortunately, there isn't an imax around here, so I had to settle for regular 3D. But honestly while the visuals are amazing I think after seeing the film in 3D for the first time you can get just as much out of it by watching it in 2D.

Either way, it's easily one of the best movies I'v ever seen.

Only through absolute uniformity of purpose can victory be achieved heroism on the battlefield is as dangerous as cowardice.

Mankind could hold the Universe in the palm of his hand, if he would only learn to unclench his fist.

Only two groups of animals, ants and men, engage in highly organized mass warfare.
