Default Avatar 3D Blu Ray Depth

Many people who have seen the 3D blu ray version of Avatar, have reported that the 3D effect is much deeper than what was seen at the cinema. Plus the characters are more rounded.
Can anyone else with a Panasonic 3D TV confirm this?

Interesting. This is the first I've heard of that. I would be interested in someone confirming from first hand experience and having seen it in theaters in 3d (though it has been a long time, so it may be hard to remember well enough to make a true comparison).

Perhaps they did more editing of the 3D effect after the theatrical release? I somehow doubt that though since it hasn't been a high volume seller (the 3D blu-ray), so I doubt there would have been much of a return on investment there for any extensive work.

As for the characters being more rounded, do you mean visually? I am trying to picture what that would look like. Do they have any pics?

Being more rounded, means more 3 dimensional. Not flat looking. e.g. the characters nose is closer to you than their ears when they look straight at you.

I took some Screenshots of the movie a while ago, just for testing.
    They can help you.

kostenlos Dateien hochladen bei File Upload X

The *.jps can be used with Nvidia 3D Vision just by double-click. If you have a Nvidia card but no 3D monitor/projector you can still use red/blue-glasses.
The *.jpg are easily done by rename the files. I made them for you so you can use them your way because there is more than one way to convert pics to 3D.

We have a Panasonic 3D Tv things I notice , because its a direct view Active 3D display as compared to projection onto a silver screen (like real D and Master image Polarized 3D cinema) the image is qute a bit more defined The acrive shutter glasses 3D system displays full 1080 P image to each eye, as far as image depth I feel its about the same as the cinema but of of course due to screen size the cinema is more imersive. Avatar is a completly diffrent experence in 3D it realy feels at times like you are in the scene the charters have much stronger eye contact with the viewer and the screen becomes a window.
