    Default Any 3D discomfort?

Did anyone get uncomfortable from watching the 3D version?

I watched it once in Real3D and once in IMAX. Both times I had a slight headache, (but only slight) afterwards. Some of my friends said that the 3D made them kinda sick though, and that they watched parts of it w/o glasses.

Also, the IMAX 3D glasses are much less comfortable than the Real3D ones. And they're reused and kinda greasy.

I've noticed a slight headache a couple of times while watching it the first few times, last time my 6th no symptoms. My daughter though whom gets motion sick, but has seen other 3D movies without ill effect, got quite ill watching Avatar in 3D.

I've yet to get any sort of headache from it. I've seen it four times each in 3D, including once in IMAX, and have stepped out of the theatre thinking only of going to Pandora! I must say that the IMAX glasses were greasy and had a few finger prints, maybe mine.. idk, but they did sit oddly on my head.

Oh also the theaters are quite warm, esp. after sitting in your seat for 2 hours and 40 minutes.

I noticed my ears got really hot, kinda like when they've been in the wind for a bit.

yeah i did that actually, still happened a little

also ppl have been saying that in real3D the picture gets cut off a little. I actually havent noticed a difference between imax and real3D. Then again, I've only seen it twice. Too bad its 17.50$ a pop in Manhattan :(

Idk for some reason RealD looks like a blurry 2d for me.I have serious vision defects that might have something to do with it. But I have never experienced any discomfort with the Imax 3d or the RealD

I saw Avatar 3 times in 3D, once in IMAX, once in 2D. My favourite: 2D.

I have 20/20 vision, do not wear glasses or contacts, and do not get frequent headaches or migraines.

My eyes hurt a LOT after each viewing in 3D. I hated not being able to focus where I wanted to, and both my brain and eyes struggled with focusing during scenes with a lot of movement, such as the thanator chase near the beginning.

IMAX was much better, still not 100%, but better. I was able to sit higher up at the IMAX theatre, which may have impacted my experience, but unfortunately I haven't been able to test my hypothesis (that sitting higher up in the theatre would affect the viewing experience) in regular 3D, being dirt poor with no time to go.

My 3-D viewing was pain free, although I can see why it can be a bother to some people. My brother's girlfriend (who I went with) did have some discomfort though.
