i would like to know when i can buy the original Avatar as a Blu-ray 3D disc set,and not have to shell out all that money,which i don't have lol,for that crappy panasonic viera package. my PS3 is 3D ready,and i just have to get a 3D tv set sometime,but you still can't buy a 3D Avatar movie by itself. what gives,JC???

I thought the 3D was great because Jim employed it subtly, but it was pale by comparison to the characters(Pandora counts as a character for me too) that really brought Avatar alive for me.

Yeah bro I know... When i found out about this Panasonic thing, that you either got a 3D panasonic, or you gotta buy that kit other 3D tvsi was like, O_O, and plus apparently it's only at its best on Panasonic anyway... I read a lot on internet about this, and it looks like there's not much to look forward too. I mean, I may be wrong, I'm never the 'latest news guy' but... It's just how they got the deal with Panasonic I guess... Still bro, if you watch it Bluray on a huge LED tv, it is ASTONISHING

I had no idea PS3's would play 3D Blu Rays...that is really awesome!

PS3 is already 3D capable,but you have to get the 3.5 firmware update,i think that is the number. you can get it online free from sony,if you don't already have it. so,if you buy a reasonably priced 3D LED television,the glasses,and have the PS3,it is far more economical than that overpriced viera package. i don't really like that panasonic tv,the sony and toshiba 3D televisions are larger resolution and more reasonably priced. i just wish i had some money laying around,lol. but,i would still need the Avatar 3D disc...

Yeah mate same here... This whole Panasonic thing is kinda annoying... I mean I ain't got a 3D tv either, but knowing you need a 'special' tv for Avatar 3D was so awkward, I got a Ps3 so I guess I could get it ready as you did Ja'k, maybe in a few years i'll have that Tv LoL, by then Avatar 3 will be out Lmao and I'll be watching Avatar in 3D after years desiring it ^_^
