Things you notice on repeat viewings

This is definitely the kind of movie where you pick up on subtle nuances every time you see it. Post new things you notice here.

Last time I noticed that in the scenes where the Omaticaya are at the tree of souls (trying to transfer Grace's consciousness and then Jake's into their avatar bodies), their queues are connected to the ground (and probably the roots).

I noticed that on the first viewing.

What I noticed was that Avatars have eyebrows and NaVi dont. Also I saw that Neytiri had a white handprint over her heart as part of her battlepaint. It had 5 fingers so it was Jakes, thought that was realy sweet.

I noticed the only Na'Vi who didn't have yellowish eyes was Neytiri's mother, who had blue eyes

I noticed that Avatars had 5 fingers and Na'Vi had 4 on my second viewing

That is really sweet!!!! I'll have to look for that next time.

I also kinda noticed that the music sometimes resembles James Camerons past movies like aliens, or titanic. For example terminator, when the Hammerheads burst through the trees right before the "Eywa has heard you jake" scene to help neytiri and the navi.

Favorite things from second viewing:

- When Jake first examines his Avatar's neural link, Grace makes a masturbation joke ("don't play with that or you'll go blind" -- something like that).

- As Jake chases after Neytiri when they first meet, he can't help himself from touching the biolumenescent plants to see them light up.

- After Jake & Neytiri mate, he's so eager to get back in his Avatar body to get back to her that he has to be forced by Grace to eat something first.

- Neytiri kisses both of Jake's eyes (on his human body) after removing his mask the last time.

Just, in general, I picked up on tons more non-verbal communication. Looks between characters, body language of Jake and Neytiri -- it's all fantastic stuff. There are paragraphs of dialogue that go unspoken between the two of them in the scene at the Tree of Voices (?), and it's what makes the entire thing so magical.

I have seen Avatar 5 times now, the fifth I didn't pick up anything else. Thats was one of the later things I noticed was the handprint on Neytiri. Most of the things though like a previous poster said is just small things, like expressions between characters.
Like after Jake knocks Tsu'tey to the ground, Tsu'tey nods for Jake to go ahead and speak.
