Special edition: tsuteys death

Hi guys since seeing avatar for the first time when it first came out i began writing fan fics to stop of thinking of it too much and it works, it also provides a great creativity outlet. anyway go the special edition of avatar i watched tsuteys death scene and i suddenly decided to write a short story of it and i was wondering whether anyone can give me what Jake and tsutey say to each other go both English and navi. thanks a lot.

Hi, here is their conversation in English from the official written script (should be the same in the SE but I don't know as I have not seen it yet).

EXT. RAINFOREST - DAY
CUT TO:

MO’AT tends to the mortally wounded TSU’TEY as AVATAR JAKE arrives with Neytiri. Mo’at has bound his wounds, but by her expression, it is clear he cannot be saved.

Jake kneels and Tsu’tey opens his eyes. Through a haze of pain, he recognizes Jake.

TSU’TEY (Na’vi)
I See you, Jakesully.
JAKE
I See you, Tsu’tey te Rongloa Ateyitan.
TSU’TEY
Are the people safe?
JAKE
They’re safe.

Tsu’tey weakly clutches his severed queue.

TSU’TEY
I can never ride again, or bond with my woman -- or hear the voice of Eywa. I can not lead the People. You will lead them, Jakesully.
JAKE
No. I’m not officer material.
TSU’TEY
It is decided. Now do the duty of Olo’eyctan. Set my spirit free.
JAKE
I’m not killing you.
TSU’TEY
I am already dead.
JAKE

TSU’TEY
It is the way. And it is good. I will be remembered --

Tsu’tey’s voice is weak, but thick with emotion.

TSU’TEY
-- I fought with Toruk Macto, we were
brothers -- and he was my last shadow.

TSU’TEY’S HAND clasps with Jake’s in a fierce grip. Jake draws his knife.

TSU’TEY’S POV -- Jake leans forward, blocking the sun. HIS SHADOW falls across Tsu’tey.

JAKE (Na’vi)
Forgive me, my Brother. Go now to the Mother Spirit.

By his movement, we know that he has ended Tsu’tey’s pain. Jake’s eyes well with tears as he continues reciting the prayer for the dead, and his Na’vi words carry over as we --

I am glad Jake found the courage to end Tsu'tey's suffering. Killing an enemy in the heat of battle is very easy compared to freeing someone, especially a family member, from horrible pain.

Hey thanks a lot for the reply. Going to be using this very soon but is it possible that you could translate the english in Na'vi when they're meant to be speaking it. I would do it myself but i dont want to screw it up.

Man i put some of the script you pasted into the avatar translator and it didnt translate half of it and i dont want to do it myself and make a complete hash of it. Could someone do this for me. I'll give credit.

In the Re Release, Mo'at isn't in the scene and some of the dialogue is cut out and slightly altered but its an incredibly powerful scene.

Don't know if anyone noticed this, but after Tsu'Tey asks Jake to be his last shadow and Jake goes to Tsu'Tey, Jake's shadow covers up Tsu'Tey's face, like Toruk, the Last Shadow.

Yeah Hufwe, I noticed it the first time I watched, Jake moves so his whole shadow is over him... I cried so much, only film that made me cry I think his trembling voice is what hits me the most emotionally, because that is just the realest thing you ever get... Such a sad thing to see, Tsu'tey will be remembered forever
