People who will be back in sequels...

I am wondering if we will see any of the dead characters coming back in sequels, reborn from stored DNA. Maybe Col. Quarich. I was thinking that the humans might actually combine them with Navi blood to make combat Avatars. Think if an Col. Quarich + Navi combo. That would be pretty scary. He would have the combat skills of the marines + the strength and endurance of the Navi. (Kinda like Jake did when he kicked Tsu'tey in hand to hand). I guess Quarich would have to be alive to drive it so they would have to regenerate him + the avatar.

I highly doubt that we will see Quartich back, but Grace on the other hand will most likely return. "She is with Eywa now" but as to whether she will come back in her avatar, in a dream, or as a spirit is anyone's guess.

I sorta hope that they don't bring Quaritch back becuse it would then become the same movie, or at least the same antagonist over and over.
I was hoping for new antagonists with new problems rather than rehashing what has gone.

I would imagine that the creative mind of James Cameron will treat us to a whole bunch of new scenarios and characters to interact with the already established ones, but with the same underlying message that we must progress in step with our enviroment, and spiritually within ourselves and toward one another.

Apparently the guy who plays Quaritch made it seem like he's going to be back by saying that two arrows can't kill him or something. I haven't seen this interview myself, I only read about it. I hope he's not back though.

Wikipedia isn't that reliable considering anybody can edit information on the site, that being said, on there I read that Selfridge will be back. But like I said, this information might be flase. I kinda hope it is.

Jake and Neytiri will be back. I assume Norm and Max will be too. And I think Mo'at will probably be too.

I hope there will be new Na'vi charecters introduced. I don't know why there wouldn't be. But if not, I'm fine with only original cast members as protagonists too.

Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana have signed for a trilogy. It is rumored that Giovanni Ribisi will return as Parker Selfridge. It is also rumored that Stephen Lang will return as Quaritch, though he was killed in the end of Avatar. This may mean that the next film may have flashbacks or has certain scenes from before the first film. It could also mean the RDA cloned Quaritch or built him a new body. In an interview, Lang says "It's not over while I've still got DNA" strongly hinting towards a possible resurrection of Quaritch. Recently it has been confirmed that Joel David Moore will return as Norm Spellman.At the Golden Globes, Sigourney Weaver hinted at the return of her character, Dr. Grace Augustine, in some form, saying, "If you look at the footage, I don't really... I go somewhere, right? It's science fiction. Anything can happen." The actress later confirmed that she and Cameron had agreed to bring Grace back, commenting, "I'm actually in the tree. I can't promise anything, but I think James Cameron wants to bring the family together", referring to Grace, Jake, Norm, and the other humans that stayed on Pandora or helped the Na'vi. On April 20, 2010 CCH Pounder confirmed that she would return as the Omaticaya Tsahik Mo'at. Michelle Rodriguez, when asked about the sequel, said Avatar was like working on Star Wars, and she hoped Trudy could be in Avatar's sequel, however, James Cameron will have to finish the screenplay to see if she can fit in the plot.

We all know that Signourney is returning even if Grace was killed so who really knows at this point? Stephen Lang has hinted at Quaritch's return from the dead so maybe there might be an appearance from Tom (Jake's brother) and Sylwanin (Neytiri's sister) as well. Who agrees?

As some people have already said, I wouldn't like either if Quaritch returns in the sequel, that'll be just cheesy and nothing special... I'm thinking that a new villain that have nothing to do with the mercenaries/military will be perfect, to work as a contrast of the crazy Colonel, perhaps a cold, calculating man with a brilliant mind will suit just fine...
