I agree with Dusso Janlade, Maybe there's not enough evidence, but Grace's first conversation with Selfridge already gives a pretty good idea of what's happening and what's happenED. About Jake and Norm, well yeah, Norm has been there for ages, knows everything about the na'vi and Pandora, and knew that being with Grace on the expeditions would probably lead to an encounter sooner or later, and Jake's role, as it's clearly explained by Trudy, Jake was just going to be an Avatar gunman, which Grace didn't want, and I figure that it's obviously because she planned maybe to be seen in the forest, with no weapons, just wandering and researchin, while being seen by the na'vi with a machine gun, would just give the worst impression she's want... And Norm was probably the guy with most experience there, who could have been a possible avatar to talk with the Na'vi again if there had been a possibility to. But after all these things said, you've just got to realize, that it's a story, try and think of anything that happened in Avatar since Jake's arrival on Pandora, nothing was predictable, in any way! An ex-marine in a whellchair riding Toruk? WoW, that is the BEAUTY of Avatar! How the Soul and the Strong heart Neytiri talks about defeat everything else: the evil Rda. Neytiri is the key to everything, after Eywa's sign, she followed Jake and discovered his strong heart, and her future mate
