How did the human body of Jake Sully die after his consciousness transfer?

It's funny how after ALL this time, that I've known Avatar, I still find questions about it everyday that ponder me ^_^ Thinking about it, I think that Jake's human body died, because it's not like an Avatar, that is made to come alive only when it's driver links to it, it can't survive without oxigen, and I think that Jake's human body died a few minutes after the transfer,since he was unconscious already, it's like he died in his sleep. In fact it must have been the strangest thing ever, to watch yourself die He had a new life ahead of him, brand new, but still, it's sad...

Just reading this thread again got me wondering, what happen to Jake's human body after it died, would it have been buried on Pandora or would it have been sent back to Earth on the next "Ventura Star" class ISV?

I think Jake would want to bury his human body on Pandora, he has no family on earth so why sending his human body back?His body would only be burned to ashes.

Ok, so I was thinking about this whole "is he still alive without a soul thing". I don't think he stays alive when his consciousness transfers to the Avatar body. When Jake is in a link, the consciousness in his human body does not fully shut down. The link always stays at 99.9%. There's still 0.1% left in his human brain. This is opposed to when the Eywa transfers Jake's consciousness (or Grace's), where the whole thing is removed. He probably died right after the transfer. There were roots/wires coming from the trees that directly interfaced with Jake's brain, so i'm assuming that the tree shut down the brain's biological function, which means no electrical impulses to trigger spasms, etc.
