Error During Flight Through The Hallelujah Mountains?

I was viewing the movie again today and noticed something that may have been an over-sight. The atmosphere is deadly to humans on Pandora, but the Samson is open on the sides and (as far as I know) the cock-pit is not separated. They're not wearing their oxygen masks in the cock-pit, which would mean that they're breathing the deadly air.

Am I missing something here?

the cockpit is actually sealed off and is supplied with oxygen , if it wasn't they would all choke on the toxic pandoran air XD

In a popular and professional review of the movie (i read a while back sorry no link, I just know it was big name) they stated that as well. I was like its obvious that the thing is sealed off.

If you watch the deleted scenes, you will see it clearly. Quaritch opens the door without warning and forces Trudy to scramble for her mask.
