Unobtainium goes for 20 Million a kilo. Hell, we are destroying our planet for $80 a barrel, you think we would have any qualms about destroying someone else's world for $20 Million a kilo? Yeah, the humans will be back, pissed and ready to do whatever it takes to get that stuff.

Jake knows what humans are like, he had better be getting the Navi ready for the fight of their lives. Round one was just a wakeup call...

RDA will loose the contract, they ****ed up.

The UN will reopen bidding, and a new company will get it.

At least they won't be coming for another 6 years....or until the next round of folks arrive and have no where to go but back to earth.

^^^ True. It takes 5 years to get from Earth to Pandora, so that means 5 years for them to get back to Earth, explain to the UN what they did, have governments get pissed due to lack of money, and then someone else will need to come up with a plan to restart the process, and AFTER all of that, do another 5 year space ride back to Pandora. So I'm guessing, with all the government stuff, humans will be back in never.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that I don't think it would be so simple. Or at least, I personally would find a sequel more believable if it wasn't just a two-dimensional case of "good guys vs bad guys," "bullies vs underdogs."

Something a lot of people wave off is that humans don't actually *want* to destroy Pandora or kill Na'vi just because they can. If that was the case, they would've just nuked the place from orbit. Some people actually think they *should've* nuked the place from orbit and that it would've been more "realistic," but I don't think such people have a very nuanced view of human nature.

Apart from being a goldmine, Pandora is also the most exciting thing to happen to humankind in a long time. Just look at how excited we get today over vague hints of possible extraterrestrial life... something that *might* be ice crystals or *might* be fossilized bacteria. Finding actual *humanoids* with culture and intelligence and language would be world-changing for us... the knowledge that we're not alone in the universe would be profound and precious.

Keep in mind that there's more to humanity than the RDA. I think news of what happened would be very sobering for Earth and would be a very harsh and traumatic wake-up call. The RDA has been feeding carefully-censored media of happy natives and scientific wonders back to Earth. After the battle and the rebels taking control of Hell's Gate, the floodgates would be thrown wide open and suddenly all this uncensored carnage and atrocity would be thrown in everyone's face.

I'm not saying that humans would never come back, but I don't think it would necessarily be the balls-to-the-wall, guns-blazing, greed-fest that most people (and fanfiction writers) envision.

In my personal opinion, just because the humans were exiled from Pandora doesn't alwayd mean they will stay exiled. They will break the exile and return to Pandora regradless of what Jake, the Na'vi and the GOOD humans say they are to do.

They will most def be back and I only know that because James Cameron has already said that they def will...and I agree with the 1st post, the Navi better be ready because Im sure the RDA will come back in full force, they were supposed to make tons of money from Pandora, not get driven away even after destroying "hometree"

maybe they're going to dive deep in the oceans in search for something, james cameron said he wants to explore the Pandoran oceans so this is a possibility. and if they do, hopefully some bioluminescent sea monsters fk them up
There are many dangers on Pandora, and one of the subtlest is that you may come to love it too much.

Except that the RDA controls the media and they're going to feed the Earth populace with horror stories of humans being butchered by Na'vi "terrorists" etc etc in short a carefully controlled media coverage about "innocent" human deaths. And people WILL buy it. Never underestimate the power of propaganda, government feeds it to us all the time.

Theres a hint in the Survivalists guide to some kind of Resistance movement to the RDA, but it's not at all clear who or what these people are or how far their movement extends.
