-20% more dense than Earth's atmosphere
    -18%+ carbon dioxide
    -5.5% xenon
    -?% hydrogen sulfide

According to the official Survival Guide, the atmosphere is toxic from an 18% concentration of Carbon Dioxide (Earth's is only 0.039%) and hydrogen sulfide from the volcanoes (concentration not given), which is toxic even in concentrations less than 1%. The increased density comes from a 5.5% concentration of Xenon. Other than that, it's primarily composed of Nitrogen and Oxygen, just like Earth.

I have a question regarding humans not being able to breathe Pandoran air: If humans can't breathe Pandoran air, then how can Trudy goes without a mask she's flying? I could see it if her cockpit was isolated from the rest of the aircraft, but it's not. Her human door gunner, on their first mission out, that we see in the movie at least, wears one when he's on the door gun, but when Trudy takes Jake, Norm and Grace to site 26 no one wears mask...and they are all human at this point. Am I making sense? Maybe it's one of those movie things that we'll never know the answer to, but I had to ask. If anything, thanks for letting ramble on.

I'm going to have to disagree, I don't think they are sealed off....but I'm going to go back to the movie and watch it again and see if I might be wrong.

it says in the activist's survival guide. the cockpit is sealed off from the rest of the helicopter so they don't need to wear exopacks, that's why trudy didn't have to wear an exopack when attacking hometree and also during the final battle

It’s not my intention to start a debate, and certainly not to cause problems, and I don’t doubt what the Activist’s Survival Guide says, but I just got done watching the movie and I didn’t see any wall sealing off the cockpit from the rest of the aircraft. When Trudy flies Grace, Norm and Jake to site 16, the camera, one point, looks in the cockpit and I could see not only Norm, but Jake as well and there was no wall between the two. There’s also a scene in the final battle where an Ikran flies up to the starboard side of a Samson 16 to grab a door gunner, the camera then pans across the aircraft to the port side where another Ikran grabs the other door gunner. Now, when the camera pans across the aircraft I can see through the cockpit and out the windshield with no obstruction Again, I’m don’t doubt what the Activist’s Survival Guide says, but I’m just saying what I saw, so I think somewhere someone missed something. When I was in the Navy, we’d have a saying for something like this, “it’s in the script.” Basically this meant that that’s the way it was written and we’re supposed to accept it.

I’m going to have to look into this survival guide; thanks for the recommendation.
