What, so we can send colony ships and screw up that planet too?
I saw a show on Discovery about this. Very interesting but WAY to complicated for little me :P
On that show they said that us humans were to send a probe-like-robot out into space so that it could take even better pictures of Alpha Centuari/Pandora. And if they saw life indicated signs on the planet/moon, they were to start working on "Quest of meeting the Na'vi so that they can teach us to See and NOT destroy the planet for It's greedy welth"!!!
Actually, I don't think so, we don't know if there have life know if there got life or even possibility of. They will first confirm the existence of the planet in the alpha century solar system. The scientist have to study and confirmed the possibility of those "extra heart" to contain life. That will be done in the next decade.Originally Posted by joeylovesgaia

There was some public radio program on this a week ago. Scientists are studying planet-genesis, and why some can harbor life, while others can't. They found a young star with a warm protoplanetary disk, full of organic molecules - it's SCREAMING potential life. So a second Earth may be forming in a few million years (any idea what star this is?).
