Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

I would like to see a desert dwelling tribe of nomads. Like they are banished from there clans by some serious misdeed and have to band together to survive the inhospitable wasteland. Seems like a good RP theme, I'm going to jot that down.

I'm curious about the creatures in the sea. Land has Thanator, air has Toruk, I wonder what kind of creature is the great predator of the sea, and can a Na'Vi ride one of those.
I imagine that Pandora is something like Hawaii in that it probably has at least a little of every climate type.
The interesting question, really, is what are the Na'vi like in those other climates? The only Na'vi we've seen a fair amount of are the forest dwellers. What about the plains, the tundra, the mountains, the deserts? Those have got to be some interesting peoples.
According to the Pandorapedia on the blu-ray there's quite a few environments on Pandora, similar to earth. There are deserts, polar regions, sub-polar regions, boreal forests, rainforests, swamp, and beaches and islands. It would be interesting to see all of those in the next movies.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.

In the film I believe we had a couple shots with some grassland, Savannah and coastline
There are no big continents and also no big oceans. So the differences in temerature and climate are relatively small
Also concerning those other climate and binome types, it's kinda stated that the Na'vi inhabitating those different ranges have different adaptations for particular climate types; though the article describes that the differences and adaptations are more similar to how breeds of dogs differ from each other than outright species.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.
