I'm sure there are many climate types on Pandora.

Love the rainforest one above all, though. Glad they chose it for this movie

Probably similar to Earth's climates. Most likely, deserts are apart of it.

I think it could be a great story idea for the second movie to explore the other regions and climates of Pandora. My be the humans come back with a bigger army, so now Jake has to recruit other Na'vi, they will travel all over the world to raise their numbers

The land masses on Pandora are are divided into small parts. There are no big continents and also no big oceans. So the differences in temerature and climate are relatively small. But there are free-floating ice caps on the poles. Also, there are a lot of vulcanos.

The survival guide mentions others. There are mountain areas, plains and the coast (which we saw) and arctic areas.

There sure is a lot more left to explore on Pandora. Hope Avatar 2 does exactly that. It's not time to leave the moon *just* yet. That'll be Avatar 3 or expanded universe material.

From the survival guide, there are sub-arctic tundra, coastlines, swamps, and plains. There are no large continents, which means there's probably no real deserts, besides ones created by volcanic activities.

In the early scriptment, there is a reference to a place similar to Yellowstone, with geysers, hot springs, and mudpots.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.

i was wondering about this as well. i also wondered if some of the other tribes around Pandora could be more technologically advanced than the Omaticaya. it could be possible but then again it could be just crazy
