James Cameron to the Moon?
'Avatar' director rumored to have bought first ticket to the moon, flying on a Russian Soyuz in 2015 or thereabouts. Not confirmed, though! (source) He did train in Russia in 2000 intending to go to the ISS, but this was canceled after September 11. (source)

J.C. could feed a small 3rd world country for a year for what a jaunt to the moons gonna cost. Seems to contradict the fundamental message of his movie. J.C. rocketing off to the moon for a vacation is a rather glutonous consumption of resource's just to stroke one guy's vanity. The whole I'm rich so I deserve to burn as much fuel in my jet and yacht and consume all the resource's I want mentality is why the planet is so enironmentaly screwed up today. Unfortunatly the whole focus of modern "free market capitalisim" is the deification of resource consumption at the expense of the enironment. Of all people I would have hoped J.C. would set an example of responsible use of resources by the filthy rich...
