    Default Avatar 3-D trading cards

Please excuse if this has already been mentioned, but I see that in October that Topps is going to release Avatar 3-D widescreen trading cards. I understand that there will be 48 cards with of course extra rare ones as well. They would be nice to collect. The ordering I saw was from a U.S. Previews magazine.

Trading cards are like sports cards; baseball cards etc. These will likely be wallet size high quality pictures from the movie on the front with fun facts and or lore on the back. Blue chewing gum would be a nice bonus

I can't find any thing in pictures to link to yet unfortunately, but in the June comic previews magazine, there are photos on page 355-6. They are wider than your normal trading cards and I think will be like a version similar to a Star Wars 3-D effect where they give the illusion of depth of picture.
    It actually says "48 breath-taking wide-version (2 1/2" x 4 11/16") cards deliver the full scope, immersive 3-D experience of the film".
There will also be special inserts of 1 sketch card and ultra-rare autograghs, to make sure we buy heaps of them trying to procure it.
So 48 in all plus the rare ones, might be easier to see how much it is for a box, and that way have a better chance of getting a full set, if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

As an old fan of magic the gathering and star wars I can tell you that if you happen to have any mom and pop card shops in your region you might be able to get a box below retail. And yes, if your at all serious about collecting the entire set its far cheaper in the long run to purchase a box or two then a lot of packs.

Yea I can't seem to find anything yet except for the pictures in previews.
That link though does not display the correct pictures of the Topps cards, but it was from January so that is probably why, but perhaps we'll see more in a little while.
