He’s going to have to come down off of that price. $18k is outrageous for just a domain name of a site that died. Although I watched a special about a guy who buys domains for super cheap and sits on them until someone comes along like a business and really wants that domain. His strategy was that if he bought a domain for $100 - $1,000 and listed it for $50,000 or more and got $20,000 or more then he’s in the green. He literally had thousands of them just waiting for buyers. Domain names that big businesses want or popular keywords that everyone wants as their domain can go for millions.

All you’d have to do is think of something that could trend later on and buy that domain for when it does you’re there to name your price.

I like Avatar-Forums.com with the hyphen because of the fact that it’s not all one word. It adds character and makes it unique. This forum is the most official forum for Avatar and I’ve really enjoyed it since I first came here. I’m really looking forward to new information that comes in about the sequels and hopefully we will get some snippets from the new script. I’m a diehard Avatar fan and Avatar-Forums.com is where I want to be to take my journey along side all of you for many years to come.

It does look nice, you may not own the name avatarforums without the hyphen but this is still the best Avatar forums on the web IMO.

I'm looking forward to the journey of Avatar 2 and 3, can't wait to see new posts about things we learn and looking forward to old members logging back on and to meeting a whole group of new ones. This forum has a very bright future IMO and hopefully that will continue long after the last movie is out.

Hopefully the people in the coming months and years will choose this as their home for their Avatar forum and that domain never becomes true competition.

18K would keep this site running for a long time. I think that would be much better spent. As the avatar forums slowly consolidate over time, it would be great to have one that stays through the years.
