Eating meat

I'll be honest about my feeling towards meat:
I think animals look delicious.
That about sums it up.

I think I See what you mean.

I Love Animals, and yet it may seem raw and obvious, if you we're in the Jungle, another hungry predator wouldn't think twice of making you its meal either, and nor will it worry about how it can kill you, surviving will be the priority, and that, is perfectly normal, Life Cycle.

But the focal point here in my opinion, is the EVIL Industrial/Genocidal/Slaughtering/Factory/Consumerism System that exists in this society.
But that^ Is Not because of Priority, It's just another Disgusting wheel in the Greedy, Wasteful, Capitalistic Machine we live in. And truly is Horrible, and it hurts me so much I feel bad eating meat when I think about it, and Wish so much I could be like Jake telling Grace:

I made a kill today, and we ate it! At least I knew where that meat came from!

^ tumblr is but one of many places,tbh. there are gifs everywhere,but a lot of them are rather useless,too large in MB to post,or inappropriate for this fine forum. i have particular tastes in gifs that seem well suited to the fabulous AF,and that is fine with me. hell yeahhh!!!

Chicken, turkey and fish are all considered meat, so yes I think it's counted here.

Speaking of that it reminds me of a funny Tumblr post regarding a girl on Facebook who thought chicken wasn't meat, thus even though she ate chicken she was a vegetarian *facepalm*.

Who else thinks Food Inc. should be required in school curriculums? We need to teach children about factory farming early do they can make better food decisions when they are older. Plus it might be a way to get the parents to find better food choices.

I see. In my case I see early every animal I eat when it is alive, since my family got the meat at local farms. Because of this i've been able to associate the living thing with the dinner on my plate (something I think many people fail to do) and know where the animal came from and whether it was subjugated to the torturing machine many people now call "farming". At college however I don't know where my meat comes from. I still eat it because of habit and because theres next to no vegetarian options (you have to pay extra for a salad not to have chicken on it, wtf?) here though.

I'm glad I didn't grow up somewhere where factory farming was the source of meat; if I grew up in a city I would probably try to cut meat out.

It is extremely sad what is done to those animals. Food Inc. is a good documentary and should be required viewing.

I have worked on Dairy Farms and know what kind of treatment those animals get. I do not work on the farms anymore but It is something people need to be aware of.

Well there are small scale operations and I have been to some of those and the animals are treated well. The facilities are clean.

I like the small scale operations. The problem is that it's not large enought to meet the demand....It is a sad thing. Maybe if there where a lot of small scale operations it could work.
