I do run Children of Eywa, and because of un-resolvable host issues, it hasn't been up for quite some time. I apologize for any inconvenience.
One fanfic had the na'vi in Jake's clan play baseball.![]()
I wouldn't suggest hockey, fights will break out. Soccer would be cool to see.
If some Na'vi got together as a college basketball team the NCAA rule makers would go nuts trying to deal with them
they probably have sports. maybe Ikran quiditch or something crazy like that XD. Or some sort of race, in some villages of south east asia they race with buffalos. i think they would love soccer (everyone loves soccer :D) maybe they would like judo as well? You saw Neytiri throw Tsu'tey so maybe they have some sort of martial arts.
There are many dangers on Pandora, and one of the subtlest is that you may come to love it too much.
They would probably go for sports where you handle the ball directly, without using any sticks and such. Basketball and soccer fit the bill perfectly, baseball is borderline, and definitely no hockey or football. Football's rules are too complex, anyway.
...*Shakes head* I think that when you are a Na'vi or any native person, and you are born and raised in a hostile territory all your life, such as a forest, you become part of it, and incredibly agile and strong, having to use your body everyday to survive. They're so fit there's no such thing as fun sports I guess. It's more about who's the best hunter or cllimber or runner I think, native people live using their body, no such thing as not fit people I'm guessing, so their 'sport', is getting lunch and dinner everyday mate, never mind basketball lol, dude those we're humans playing around in Avatars. Na'vis have bows and use them all the time, their bullseye aint no piece of paper but a prey made of meat to eat, that's their olympics ^_^ a whole day hunting is more than a sport I reckon![]()

"Music, Is What Feelings Sound Like"
I didn't see anything to suggest team base sports like Lacrosse, but certainly saw plentiful evidence of swimming, climbing, running, and riding. Lets not forget archery too. Games on earth were often used to settle disputes and rivalry by non violent means; if the Na'vi shunned the warlike aggressive demeanor us humans have they may well never explored the idea of team based sports.
Quidditch of course.
