A profound topic indeed. One that is near and dear to me. So many have lost their connection to the natural world - or they may have never had it in the first place. When one stops to look around and see the beauty that is Nature it is magnificent. It brings inner peace. Those who rape the goddess that is our planet saddens me beyond words. Avatar brought so much of this to light.

Two weeks ago I noticed that on one of my favorite paths that I walk along for some unknown reason one of my favorite trees had been cut down. I was devastated - it broke my heart. I would always stop and bond with this particular tree. It was so healthy and vibrant - reaching for the sky. Now I stop and stand where it once stood - kneeling down to feel the energy left behind by some of its roots that still remain...
