Na'vi skin pattern.

i dont no if anyones posting something like this, but ive just noticed the different type of skin patterns on some na'vi!

I did notice it and i find it interesting, It's nice that every na'vi have a different pattern but Neytiri got the best

I think it would be just like cats, every pattern being unique. Same for the bioluminescent dot patterns. Makes each individual unique

Yeah some have instead of stripes of darker cyan, but blotches of it all over.

i noticed that unlike most Na'vi, Grace's patterns are in an upwards pointing direction. look above her hips and the stripes point upwards :D

I guess like other living things, each has their own look to them. On the dvd of the movie, Stan Winston said on how he liked the idea his team made of making each Na'vi look like an individual. Each having their own characteristics that made each unique. The result is what the film shows.

The Avatars seem to have clearly defined stripes while the Na'vi are a lot more... varied? It kinda depends, I mean, I haven't noticed it much on the Na'vi, but the Avatars seem to also have differently alternated striping than the Na'vi do.

This is the most interesting thread i've seen in a while, totally original Good job Shelly ^_^ yeah I'd say it's part of the normal diversity of individuals, I wonder if it is related to growth, or if the pattern is fixed once born , and it just gets bigger fitting your body when you grow? and I agree with Prowler! ahahah Neytiri has the coolest LoL

not really, look at neytiri. they are different then the other na'vi. they are more 1 line.
