lost pets somehow returning to their original homes

So i don't know if this is science or environmental but i thought it actually should be put with beliefs, or some question about paranormal events or psychic events like Pandora biology as maybe being part of the culture board.. i don't know where to post this so i am posting it here..




For hundreds of years, reports have existed of lost pets somehow returning to
their original homes and/or owners, sometimes covering hundreds or even
thousands of miles on foot. The current paradigms of mainstream science cannot
account for this peculiar ability of domesticated pets.

Perhaps the easiest and most obvious explanation for this phenomenon is an
inherent psychic ability in animals. The research of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake,
author of the book "Dogs that Know When Their Owners are Coming Home..." seems
to indicate that pets have intense psychic connections with their owners. In
controlled experiments, Sheldrake has demonstrated that animals are able to
anticipate when their owners are returning home at a rate considerably higher
than chance

Yeah, it's a known fact, and it fascinates us so much, I've never wondered how the heck it happens though lol I knew this joke about a guy trying to get rid of this poor cat, and every time he tried to take it farer away, the next morning the cat got back home somehow and was at the door LoL, until the guy goes up a mountain and the wanker can't get home himself! serves him right lol, but the cat could Related to this, I know my dog recognises the sound of my car coming from down the road, and she's already at the gate waiting with her red ball in her mouth and also knows when I'm leaving for a while and gets sad when she sees the big suitcases ^_^ Animals are great

I don't think it has to do with psychic abilities. I'd say instincts and resources.

^About Tsunamis and earthquakes that's not new at all actually, It's well known that animals, know in advance when a big storm or earthquake is coming, even my own dog went to hide in the garage once, before an earthquake came here, and it was big... I guess it's because they can sense more than we do, feel things in the air we take longer to realize, or something like that.
