Default Human vs. Na'vi in a race?

(yes, i do like the Na'vi, just posing a question)

Question: Who would win in a distance race?
-now I mean distance, as in multiple weeks of running.

Try researching humans, and evolving through distance running. Very interesting stuff. I was talking to my cross-country coaches about this. Humans used to survive by running. Very very very very long distances. We would run in groups of 3 or so, following an animal. The animal was much faster. However, the animals (we were tbought to originate on African plains) would get hot, we did not. Humans have the most advanced/effective cooling system on Earth. Eventually, the animal we chased would die from heat exhaustion. Then we ate it.
-Kinda sad though how humans don't do this anymore, and have much lost this trait.

My Answer: I think this is one place we got the Na'vi beat if we had some true human Distance runners (such as some mexican tribes who will run 100s of miles at a time, just to trade) race the Na'vi.

Hmmm, thats interesting evidence. I never knew that. The way i see it is if you put an "average joe" up against the "average" Na'vi, the Na'vi has the edge. On the other hand, the evidence you use about humans running long distances is intriguing. If I were too long distance race a Na'vi I would get smashed and im pretty fit and healthy. Im gonna give it to the Na'vi

Strangely, in humans at least, Long legs are only advantageous, and a medium shortish height, 5'2-5'6 is the best range for a distance runner, as your heart has to pump blood farther.

if were comparing the mexican mountain runners to an average na'vi, they would win. but average navi versus average person (5'8", 160-180 lbs) i would say the navi would win.
