Default How to adopt Na'vi style to our casual clothes?

    Hello all,

I've been thinking about adopting Na'vi style to casual wear, but couldn't find a solution so far. Some of you know, i handled the jewelry part -see my signature- but the clothing part is still complicated.

So, lets share opinions, maybe photos and sketches. What kind of clothes and accessories can we use to look more Na'vish?

As far as i can say, we can be inspired from native american and african clothings. This means we can have some tassels and asymmetric shapes.

Also, i looked a bit closer to na'vi clothes, they usually wear suedeish brown or light blue clothes with beads and braided leather ropes on them.

    So, what can you suggest?

uhm maybe mixing underclothes with na'vi loincloth, like something half-half, for I made the na'vi strip that they use to hold knifes and I'm trying to do a loincloth mixed I'll keep in touch about that

This is kind of hard for me to imagine. The Na'vi hardly where anything. I can imagine some type of spin off, but couldn't imagine a human male for instance, dressing like a male Na'vi. Speedo f t w lol. I feel a human female could pull it off so much better.

In terms of the hair and jewelry, I am def a fan. I'd love to see what you come up with. I have an extremely open mind.

I agree with madman, that as a casual-every-day clothing this would be hard to imagine, BUT cloning the Na'vi style to bathing clothes could be a more realistic idea..
It would prob. suit the women better I think, cause again as madman says: speedo ftw (*goosebumps*), but seriously, a woman wearing a normal bikini set, but with some sort of "Na'vi skirt" (dont know what it is called?), it maybe could look more interesting??

    Just an idea..

Yea, I could see myself sporting some sweet Na'vi clothes. I would definitely have to get used to the wedgies but other than that, I like the jewelery Jake wears.

I've kind of been wearing things that I suppose look more Na'vi like. I have lots of jewellery, some from the Turkish site and other off ebay that looks either Native American or other similar cultures. I also have Muk Luks (like moccasin boots made of deer skin and rabbit fur) for Winter and wear Vibram Fivefingers in the summer (don't look very tribal but definately feels more natural to walk in). I like wearing linen shirts in natural colours and jeans but I just love jeans :P I also have gone more natural with my hair colour (dyed blonde to light mousey brown) and also have had some dreadlocks made for the summer (I wear them every summer cos I love the look of them and I'm too lazy to mess around doing my hair!). I also have some feathers and shells to put in my hair with my dreadlocks. I'll have to post some pictures in the summer. I also go natural with makeup (obviously more a woman thing to wear makeup!). I've even customised some cheap sandals with feathers and shells and they saved me some cash as well. Theres lots you can wear, it's just a case of researching. The bikini idea is good for women but I don't have my fit 18 year old body anymore (just average now). Oh well.
