So I've always been interested in archery, I know how to shoot a bow, aim, and I'm not an awful shot. But is it just me or, after seeing Avatar, do you want to really learn how to shoot? I mean like, all in one fell swoop, pull back, aim, and release, and hit something dead on. I know it takes practice obviously, but the movie inspired me lol. I just think the grace and speed they use the weapon is brilliant.

yep me and my father go hunting all the time, we have mechanical bows though.
When people are sitting on sh*t you want, you make them your enemy, so your justified in taking it.

Yes! I've never really been interested in things like this before, but after seeing the movie, I'm definitely considering finding a place to take some classes. I don't know how it would come in handy during my life, but it would be so awesome to be able to do that!

Can you imagine if someone was knocking off a 7-11 and one of us pulled out a frickin' bow and arrow and pointed it right at him. How awesome would that be?
    Neytiri cried because Quaritch lied.

Mechanical bows are awesome but longbows and naturally made bows are where its at. I want to get a longbow and paint it with war paint like in the movie lol. And the good thing is you can practice with it in your back yard, unlike a gun.Learn to shoot still, on the run...jumping from the back of an Ikran XD

That made be crack up :D Then tell him it's dipped in a neurotoxin that will stop his heart in minutes. With yellow war paint on? IN NA'VI? How epic would that be on the 10 o'clock news.

I grew up in the northern woods and on a lake I could shoot a natural bow since I was about 7. Now I can shoot one dead on at about 35yards+. I've tried mechanical ones but there is nothing like the feel of a wooden bow in your hands.

do you really need to ask?

yes but the amount of effort needed to even CRAFT your own bow would be extremely painstaking

    better get started now
