    Default Avatar Mohawk

    Hey guys, new here.
I figured this'd be the best place to come to ask this question:

I really really like that mohawk type hair style Jake was sporting near the end of the movie.
Think I should go about trying to do that to my hair? I really like it, it looks really cool.
    I'm a dude, btw.
I'd also like to add that my hair is more than long enough to do this... My hair goes down to my butt. XD.

Yeah, I also thought about doing the same thing as I have long hair as well. But decided against it because if I didn't like it, then I'm stuck growing my hair back out for years. I do like it though, Jake looked alot cooler with the Na'ViHawk.

Hey that's cool to see another person out there thinking like me.
I also think that the way he had his hair towards the beginning (the long braid in back, small braids towards the front that hung down by the back / sides of his head) looked cool. I might try that too, it isn't as "permanent", heh.

Yeah, that's one I thought about doing, since I already have the hair for that, although the actual braid at the back wouldn't be long enough.

I gotta be honest, I thought his mohawk looked awesome too. But, my hair isn't quite long enough, mine only goes down to about the middle of my back. I'd say it'll take me like 2 more years before I can get down that hairstyle. But hey, hair grows back right? I say go for it.

I have a mohawk that I could grow out. Right now I spike it and it stands 10in.

Well, yes it does look really cool (and badass I might add). But for this big braid and all the small braids you need to have really thick, rich hair. In every other case it would look only ridiculous. If you have that quality of hair, than go for it!! It's a really cool hairstyle.

I love this hairstyle as well (I also kinda liked how it looked on the females too) but I could never get my hair long enough to have a mohawk like this.

This gets me wondering about the females with mohawks. I noticed that some of the Na'vi females have mohawks, and some like Neytiri don't. Now I figured the mohawk indicates that a Na'vi is a warrior, but then if that's the case, if Neytiri's a warrior why doesn't she have a mohawk? Maybe a female can choose to have the mohawk or not? Wonder how that works... Still, as much as a mohawk looks good on some of the females, I'm glad Neytiri doesn't have one -- I think her hair is beautiful as is.
