I noticed that every time a Na'vi is shown drawing their bow, they do it left handed. This seems kind of funny to me as there has to be some right handed ones. Does anyone know the answer to this?

There have been other threads about this, but to be honest I don't remember what the responses were. That being said, I believe the answer is that the Na'vi are all left-handed because they were modeled after James Cameron, who is left-handed. Can anyone else corroborate this?
I think they're all lefties because they learn to use theirs lefts in arcery, but in the movie they do that because zoe is a lefty. A pro. archer said you can't arch like that, but was stunded when jc demonstrated
I know the answer.
Zoe Saldana (Neytiri) made the proposal how to stretch the bow. And she is left-handed. So everyone had to do it like Zoe Saldana!
UFOs are bringers of peace. They are dancing aruond the sky.
But when we will invite them to dance with us?

~ Thank you prowler for this amazing sig~
I would have to say that most Na'vi are left handed, but there's probably a few right handed Na'vi.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.
"Wall-mounted keyboards? It must be THE FUTURE!"

James got the actors to go to archery training so it would look natural, and James saw Zoe was a lefty and decided that it would be a little
alien' like (to the majority right hand population haha) and made it so that everyone was to do it left handed in the movie. He didn't want people to compare the Na'vi to closely with humans, so he was thinking of ways to combat this, and simply flipped his hand around to the outside to draw the bow. Thats what angelpunch00 was talking about... the pro said bow couldn't be fired like that, but he took him around the back of the studio (where he had been practising) and shot it as he had described and the pro said "oh"
Its explained in 'Capturing Avatar' which you get in the Collectors Edition.
"Man of Extremes":
The Na’vi, too, are an extension of Cameron. He mentioned that he is a lefty. “Guess what,” he said. “The Na’vi are all left-handed now.”
