I wonder though if Eywa was against a couple being together and they still did stay together, whether or not that particular couple would constantly have nature against them where ever they went.
Picnics would be hell.
No seriously, if you went against Eywa I think you would eventually realise that you can't escape her influence in your life.
I like to think that Eywa was a lot more kind than that. Remember, she protects the balance of life, and interfering with a couple would be rather counter-productive.
Is there any particular reason Eywa should interfere? I can't think of one.

You guys are acting like we're talking about a person here, or some kind of God. Thats entirely missing the point. Eywa doesn't "do" anything at all. She doesn't "judge" or "punish"...she/it is a whole bunch of trees!
The only time something actually happened is the animal attack on RDA troops. But that was kind of like "Kill or be killed" circumstances. Day to day, nothing happens. Zilch!
Eywa I doubt would do anything, unless it was to change the course of the balance of life.

i don't think that such a thing is possible... every Na'vi have in advance written fate and because of that they have to obey to Ey'wa... but, there was a exception - Neytiri was chosen to be with Tsu' Tey (even i don't think she wasn't her to make that decision because i think that her sister chosen to be Tsu' Tey mate), but in the end and thanks to Ey'wa she chooses Jake.Originally Posted by Akutan
