A child died over here because of lack of money to sponsor his surgery. I am very upset because money comes over human lives. A child had a ( hernia), an infection in his lower body part that required surgery but could not pay for it. Who's to be blame for his death.

In speaking with alexander over the time i have known him and in talking with others who have worked with refuges from ghana one issue has allways come to mind ,The The vow a doctor takes to protect life ,When a refuge goes to a hospital and is refused emergency health care because he or she does not have cash "in hand" the system has a fundamental fault ,we are so shrouded here that it is very hard for us to grasp what realy goes on , I mean they live within walking distance to a modern well equiped hospital in accura and are "Refused" critical health care. how can the people in the health care sleep at night ?

One of the major questions I am often asked is "Why dont they go where the food is or where jobs are advable" ? this is rather shortsighted, it is no simple manor to travel long distances in africa refuges dont have money to pay for transportation and in many cases are politicly fenced in ,(ask Alexander to tell of his sisters journey on foot over 300 miles) where other countrys simply refuse to except them or dont have the resources to care for them, there are as expected huge problems with courpt aid groups dont suppy food donated or milltary groups by force of arms taking the food for themselves, as I have often said , speaking on the issue does little good other then making people aware ,there needs to be a way for refuges to have a effective global voice and for the people of africa to stop fighting each other and come together to solve the problem, we all know the Root of the issue is too many people for food advable in a given area, and bad politics drives a wedge betwean the people like packs of dogs, they all fight for the limited resources and this compounds the problem. untill the people of the world stop pointing fingers at each other and act to solve this problem as a comunity it will never go away. The intresting fact is that Avatars story indead does hold a clue to how this might be done, its a Mirror story that lets us see through the eyes of another and look back at our actions. if we can get people to see through the eyes of the oppressed (In this case the refuges) our emotional connection will drive action to solve the problem this can be a very powerfull tool as its very hard to deny or ignore what they see mirrored in front of them. whats the opinion on this ?

This is a very sad and dissapointing topic... It' gets even sadder when you see this is not a minor issue. It's global situation... even fully developed nations suffer from "money-ill health care systems". The country I happen to live in is not fully developed... some would call it a third world country, and this situation is not different.

Social health care is one of the last prioritys in goverment's list... People with no money to pay for their health are condemned to public health care system, and I say condemned because that and be left to die is just a tiny bit different. This is really sad...

But the saddest thing of all, is that human civilization, plain XXI century with all this tech developement aren't capable of sustaining their own people, totally unable to cope with everybody's most basic needs... It all goes down to the same source, the source of all evil... ambition. Our civilization is built over blocks of power and unfairness, with a very few at the top of the pyramid with everything they don't need... and the rest of the people at the bottom, with less than they need to survive.

People, with all they think they know (talk, do math, drive a car, use a computer...) we haven't leared how to be really human.

To bring awareness to issues like this is one of our goals , I do often feel upset about bringing sad news to others but in taking an honest look at issues refuges face and what they go through in there day to day lives it is a humbeling experence and lets us see and respect others , many here are upset ubout the issues we face day to day but have no idea what its like to be forced from your home , I spoke to Alexander today and he was simply thankfull to not be sleeping under the market table tonight. he trys every day to find a job refuges in ghana are often refused employment (or employed in awfull jobs that only pay one meal a day for what amounts to slave labor) I have known alexander for 2 years and he still has not been granted passage out of ghana to another country , I thank you for showing your concern. if you have any questions for alexander feel free to ask, I will tell him
    others have questions.

Hi to all, i miss been here a lots time all because of situation above me i mean that i was in the hospital
for longer times and more over i never had internet access to where i was at time. I wish you all Happy New
    Year.
Ghana is a worst place to live as a foreigners all because, i am sorry to say that the citizens of this country
are very selfish, tribalism etc to the extend that as a refugee you are more than a slave. We wish to leave this
country to another country that at least our lives will improve but they corrupt UNHCR in the way that they form
a branch of government that called Ghana Refugee board for their selfish deeds which is bringing a lots of corrupt
practices that is keeping us here as pigs in the hole, even pigs live advance life then our situation i can admit.
I wish that one of the members of this forum come over here and experience for your selves then you will better
understand what i am driving at.
My family members and myself which to leave this place but no mean, i wish we have a mean one day to come before
we die in cold blood or commit suicide because i can't bear it any more.
Please feel free to ask me question and i will be very glad to answer. Have a nice day and i pray of hearing from you.
