Trade sanctions are a nightmare and they just end up screwing the proletariat rather than the dictators
Case in point, Iran
That country has been screwed over by trade sanctions, but at the same time other countries in the area practice far worse interpretations of Islamic Law unrestrained.
Maybe because Iran doesn't have quite so much oil or something, I dunno
