why you shouldn't watch avatar with third graders

Yesterday I watched Avatar on DVD at a sleepover. There were some young siblings there, and they were really annoying.
The littlest word that you shouldn't say in public, like "god damn", "s**t", and "crap" and they were screaming and giggling. I mean jeez! Those are hardly terrible curse words.
At one point one of the little ones started running around and yelling "I like icecream I hate bears" at the top of their lungs.
If you watch this movie at home the little kids should stay in a seperate room.

I dont like GD in anything, other than that the movie was fine for my 2nd grader that loved the movie as much as I do.

I think there's nothing wrong with "god damn" to be honest, the movie has been made for everyone IMO and the little use of 'bad language' is hardly anything too bad.

It's perhaps the same when watching any film with a younger audience.
I know what you mean, though.
I dislike distractions breaking the immersion especially when I consider Avatar to be an intimate film to me.

I've got a slight cussing problem I've been trying to break ever since watching Avatar. :P

It's only while I'm alone or around friends. Never around family, or I wouldn't have a neck anymore.

Yeah wee kids can be annoying so I do really feel for you. Particularly when its Avatar and you're looking to get sucked in and you keep getting distractions.

It gets particularly bad when I'm doing a seek and destroy flight in battlefield, and some random missile finds its way up my tailpipe. :(
