Neytiri cried because Quaritch lied.
I just watched it last night, so I'm still reeling.
Well (obviously) I searched for a network of fans to write with :D Another thing I did was to immediately check DeviantART.com for any artworks. I love drawing myself and I'm hoping to get out some fandom energies that way. Of course it's sad that such an experience doesn't exist for us, but I do look forward to trying out an MMO RPG if they make one.
In the end though, I'm not so sad because the movie is a reminder for us to appreciate the beauty of not the fantasy world, but OUR own. Pandora is a reminder of how the Earth once was, and it's a celebration of the cultures in our world that continue to dwell with Nature in a deeper way. Earth may not be as mystical or fantastic, but it is certainly beautiful. We don't need a thousand bucks and a trip to Hawaii to appreciate it. After watching the movie, just playing with my cats was a more defined experience for me. I respected how they come up to me, and love playing with me and finding my attention. We speak to each other without words, and I was reminded of the deep interconnections in the movie.
You know what’s cool… we are all strangers from across the world. Yet here we are, discussing some pretty deep stuff, brought together by a movie : )
