Question about the story line - Did Neytiri already meet Jake before?

Jakes brother died, Jakes brother was also an Avatar driver........
The Dr has setup a school for the tribe, where she taught the Na'vi english......
Now wouldn't Jakes brother in the past be with the Dr, going to that tribe and helping out? Therfore Im sure Neytiri would have already seen Jake.
No big deal, just trying to see if Im wrong about it.
as far as I know Jakes brother got shot before he was on Pandora, and his/Jakes avatar body reached full size when they arrived

Interesting, the question is could tom have 'Seen'. Really I wish he was alive for a little of the movie so we could see more of his personality.
That's something for the future movies/books.
