Default New view of Life after the movie!

My years on this planet are short and sweet, but after viewing the movie Avatar...well that did not help to much. It brought me to a state of mind that made me actually smile. I was also drinking during the viewing of the movie, but something about the culture and the peace with the tribe made me deeply sad on how i actually perceived reality. I have never watched a movie before and thought about it long afterward. I think about how lonely, greedy, fake, selfish, conforming our society is..and that includes me unfortunately. The movie was truly great and the writer..wow..brilliant. It makes me wish that our world was actually like the navi..but it never will be and thought I would post about it. The movie made me want to go out and show deep affection to all people. So that we become one and have peace. So that we don't judge, worry about what we wear, or how we look, but to actually be a tight, strong community. In all reality this will never happen again since our society is no longer primitive. However, I can say that after watching the movie I wish that my daily life could bring me the satisfaction that viewing the movie did. To sum it all up...I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Post if you do!!

To say Avatar changed my view on life is an understatment, at least for me I deeply related to what I saw and I held deep respect for what the Na'Vi people "symbolicly" stood for,Quite honestly it was like someone reached inside spun me around and said take look with your own eyes and see with your own heart,My view on the world changed and I felt compeled to really act on the issues so many of our people ignore and ask some very important questions. understanding why this change happened I think is important, and an intresting subject if people want to talk about it Yes I very much share the same feelings and my intrest in why does for a Small group of people Avatar resonate so strongly, if there is intrest I would like start a thread on such topic or continue it here , but as there have allready been threads on whats often labeled the "Avatar blues" I would like to add one thing the media often labels people who have a deep connective experence with Avatar as out of touch with reality, (and of course the media is allways so objective in this age) what they are badly blind to is the fact Avatar is a mirror story , and peoples deep thoughts and emotions on how they percieve the film come in many ways from there heartfelt subconscious understanding of just how serious the real world issues the film plays out in mirrored fantasy are and and just how emotional it is to realy "see" and understand the issues seen on the screen and the understanding the films story is driven just like the Avatars in the story by all to real world conflicts and issues we all see
on the local and world news every night.

I always enjoy reading how different each person's expression of the same thing we all feel is. Very heartfelt.
Be the change that you want to see in the world.

Sorry if this is not the right thread for this but I have always been wondering how the Na'vi would react if one of their community tried to have a sex change? Do you think they would be tolerant or do you think they would be hateful towards the trans member of the group and cast them out of the tribe like a dirty old bed spread?

I believe that the Best thing about Avatar film is that the Na'vi are very accept of every - body. In real life ( :( ) I have not as many friends, lots of teasing all of the time every day. But, if I live on Pandora (I wish...) then I KNOW I would be happier, much happier. Some days I cry, because I know that Pandora is impossible to go on. I wrote many letters to James Cameron about how to get to Pandora but No response... I understand he is very a Busy man.
