I actually have two pairs, I recommend the KSO
I plan on using them for running 5k on a hard trail, I was thinking that the Sprint was the model for that, but I see these comments on the KSO, are they good for running?

BTW, the book I was reading that got me into this is "Born to Run". Turns out humans evolved to chase down wild animals by wearing them out. We may not be able to run as fast as a deer but we can run further. Oh and hey. Barefoot Ted features prominently in that book.

I notice that when I go barefoot or near barefoot (vibram five finger KSO's) on pavement for a long time it seems that the bottoms of my feet get bruised, and are tender for a few days. However this never happens on trails and natural ground, seems pavement is too hard for bare feet, I feel sorry forthe dogs when people walk them on sidewalks rather than grass.

I walk all over the place without shoes whenever I can... My feet have toughened up over a period but then i have never experienced the pain you have described.
People have no idea just how much choice they have in the universe. We will find a way never to wake up

    - "Smart enough to be afraid, stupid enough to do it"
    - "All rivers lead to the ocean, the difference between me and you is this. I'm the guy wondering where the oceans go"
    - "Please, the improbability of the mere existence of you and I is so vast it makes Pandora's existence seem definite. Regardless... Probability can suck it, I'll do what I want."
    - "We need stories as much as they need us... and that's really saying something considering they depend entirely on our imaginations to exist."
    - "No matter where I go in life people are constantly using the phrase "Out there in the real world" in the street, in the office, in the home... you name it. Where is this damned reality and why is it so persistently elusive?"

Standing barefoot on the land (grass sand, soft, dirt)while Earths Emf field pulses up thru you while looking at the moon and the stars or facing the sun (eyes closed) aaaahhh. Maybe a reflexologist could give some guidance but probably not a diagnosis. I have read some foot issues start out as aches or twinges but can get worse. I like the idea of some of the footwear mentioned above but are they made in the US?
