Default How did you react when you first saw the original Avatar Trailer?

One of the most annoying experiences in a movie theater is to sit through all the upcoming movie trailers before you get to watch the movie you paid for. Many of them are just a waste of time and others show you the whole darn movie. But sometimes you see one that perks your interest. If I go to a movie, I have a game were I will rate all of them with a thumbs up/down (the American thumbs up hand signal means it is good).

The Avatar trailer was freaking cool when I saw it and I whipped both my thumbs up. The ending with the big battle scene with Jake’s voice yelling “This is our land!” and jumping onto the back of a giant orange flying creature was something I had not seen the likes of. I knew I was going to see this one months before it came out. It was marked on the home calander. After I actually saw the movie, I found that the trailer had focused on the later action and undersold the movie. The movie was even better than depicted. This is a rare thing, IMHO.

How did you react when you first saw the original Avatar Trailer? After watching the movie, did the trailer give a good representation of what you just saw?

i thought it looked really good (any sci fi movie instantly gets my attention) but i didn't know how much it would mean to me. i didn't even know who James Cameron was, nor did i know that he was the director :P
There are many dangers on Pandora, and one of the subtlest is that you may come to love it too much.

I said: "Hey, that looks cool, I'll have to see it when it comes out." But I never realized what a huge impact it would have on me. After all, there have been a lot of terrible movies with cool trailers

I watched that trailer and thought, "Hm, that looks interesting. I'll probably go see it when it comes out."

And indeed, I did just that and here I am, amongst all you fine people. Funny how that works.

I was like oh some sort of a cartoonish type movie or
something. I really didn't pay much attention to it, well not until my cousin called me and said I had to go see it and how awesome it was. Then I went and was hooked!

I remember having seen a short trailer on TV. Fighting scenes, guns - not my cup of tea, I thought. So I did not go. One day, my younger brother told me Avatar was the best movie he had seen ever. I didn't even ask him why. Just thought: yeah, I bet. Ignorant, I know.
And then the film was on TV and I thought: why not? And it captured me. I was flashed. I still am. I always will be. Unfortunately though, I have never experienced that stunning film at the cinema, nor in 3D. My dvd-player is smoking, I don't know how often I've watched Avatar by now.
Life is full of surprises. When Avatar 2 comes out, I'll be the first one to run to the nearest cinema. Day after day after day. HA!

Curiosity. A new scifi film of some sort. Humans go to another planet, blue aliens. Well I was curious to see this film. Here I am as a result.

That was one of the biggest fails of my life... Since I saw that film that night I've never stopped loving it <3
