One of the most annoying experiences in a movie theater is to sit through all the upcoming movie trailers before you get to watch the movie you paid for. Many of them are just a waste of time and others show you the whole darn movie. But sometimes you see one that perks your interest. If I go to a movie, I have a game were I will rate all of them with a thumbs up/down (the American thumbs up hand signal means it is good).
The Avatar trailer was freaking cool when I saw it and I whipped both my thumbs up. The ending with the big battle scene with Jake’s voice yelling “This is our land!” and jumping onto the back of a giant orange flying creature was something I had not seen the likes of. I knew I was going to see this one months before it came out. It was marked on the home calander. After I actually saw the movie, I found that the trailer had focused on the later action and undersold the movie. The movie was even better than depicted. This is a rare thing, IMHO.
How did you react when you first saw the original Avatar Trailer? After watching the movie, did the trailer give a good representation of what you just saw?
