Definitely. I've watched it on my own, many, many times (going to again today ). I think that just watching it with someone would ruin it for me, I wouldn't be able to become fully immersed in Pandora and I would have to keep my reactions (crying, hissing during the battle) under control in case they noticed (my friends do not See).

I thought I was the only one that hissed =)

I've seen Avatar more times alone than with people, and honestly I think I prefer it that way. It was easier to go alone after the first time I went.

I went to see the movie again Thursday...I was completely alone in the theater, not a single other soul in the room, no ushers or anything. It was really quite awesome.

I'm not sure if I want to watch Avatar by myself. I really like going with others into the cinema (friends, family...). We are not chatting during the film in any way. We are quite like the rest of the audience (most times when I'm in the cinema everyone is totally quite). So more or the less we are all enjoying the movie by ourselves but I really like the feeling to know that my friends/family next to me have the same pleasure. A pleasure shared is not a pleasure halved. It's a pleasure doubled.

Anyway I'm still not able to get my family into the cinema. It is not possible because of several reasons (mainly time). It su**s balls. I really want to see it again (third time) - so I have to watch it by myself if I want to watch in the cinama again. Avatar will not stay there forever and I'm running out of time.

Edit: In addition I neither have a Blu-Ray nor a big flat HD-TV or a home cinema here. Avatar deserves at least something like that.

I saw it for the first time by myself in 3D. The theatre was not very full, either. It let me get involved in the film more.

I have seen the movie six times. The first time I saw it with my brother in 2D. I didn't like it as much. I decided to give it a try in real 3D and keep an open mind. I saw it the 2nd time alone. I became hooked. Then, I saw it for the 3rd time with my brother and my husband at the IMAX 3D. He liked it. I was a bit nervous as to how he would react. He did say a few things afterwards that I didn't like. I felt he was only seeing the surface but overall he thought it was a good movie. I saw it again by myself in real 3D the fourth time then I saw it at the IMAX 3D for my 5th viewing with my brother and my mom. I was also nervous about my mother because of her reactions. Also, I had to try to explain a few things to her during the movie which I didn't like to do since it took away from my own enjoyment but my mom finally got into the movie. I knew she did because she didn't want to get up although she need to use the restroom. So did I but I wasn't about to leave to go to the bathroom either. Last week, I saw it for the 6th time alone. So, I have seen it alone for three of the six viewings. I don't mind doing that although I enjoy discussing movies after watching them with other people. Hopefully I will get the chance to see it again soon.

Congrats on being the only troll to ever have friends, that is an impeccable feat
