I really enjoyed Avatar both ways! The theater experience was awesome, and by the time I saw it (over a month past release date), the theater was filled with fellow Avatar fans. It was quite fun

Avatar pushed me over the edge to upgrade my sound system. I had already recently upgraded to a decent HD flat screen + Blu-ray. Avatar was the first Blu-ray I purchased. I bought it again when the collectors edition came out. It is quite awesome to view at home as well. I can watch it whenever I want, pause it, re-wind and watch some awesome scenes again, and then turn up the sound. I also don't have to worry about being judged and may even mutter the occassional "hell yeah" to myself.

For this reason it would be damn near impossible for me to enjoy it at the cinema. One day I'll have a nice big flat screen to experience it properly, but to make up for the fact that I don't what I do have is a nice sound system. My two main front speakers are 15's and the rest of the surround sound speakers are dual 10's.

The opening scene in Transformers when Blackout is making its way to the base and the camera comes down beside it and you hear those blades beating the air... The first time I watched it I had my bass turned up for my music settings (I had forgotten to set it back to my movie settings) and when it got to that scene it shook my house so hard it moved my refrigerator. It was awesome!
I hate people who sing with it. (and especially if they can't sing at all :/) I can get so angry about it. (too bad sometimes I do it by myself. but mostly I can resist it )

The only thing I could think when I saw the thread name was "What!?"
Except for in the cinema, I have ONLY seen it alone. I have no one to watch it with, so...?
Why would it be special or different to watch it alone?
