Can CGI get more realistic?

I have a feeling that this belongs in the production forum but Im not sure.

I was just wondering, Avatar has the most realistic CGI to date and blends flawlessly with real surroundings, the motion capture is beautiful and the overall effect is perfect.

This got me wondering, can there be more realistic CGI than Avatar?

Well, Avatar was almost 100% realistic, I always forget I'm watching a film. But really, technology always improves, there will be higher resolutions and even more detail in the future, I think.

The answer is "YES". Everithing is constantly developing including CGI technology and there are no limits for perfection.
